We are an urban arm of Nyack Birth Services, founded in 2002 by Deirdre McLary when she moved from the Upper West Side to Nyack in Rockland County looking for more closet space and a wide open back yard for her growing family to play in. We welcome you to browse our offerings which include post partum doula care and labor support, classes offered year round though out the area, referrals and childbirth education in the comfort and privacy of your own home. NYC Doula offers Coming Home Night post partum services too – a wonderful gift if you have family members looking for that perfect thing to get you when the baby arrives. It is a hired professional post partum doula who will spend the night with you to help you ease into those first days and nights as a new mother and family.

If you are looking to build a strong prenatal community by sharing time with other pregnant women, want to hold a Blessingway ceremony or are seeking a greater spiritual connect to your pregnancy and baby, email us for gatherings, ritual and circles in the area. We can also build a private ritual in the comfort of your own home and create a ceremony just right for you.

All our offerings and referrals are based upon the fundamental belief that childbirth is a natural, intuitive process and that each woman has the power to tap into her inner strength and draw forth the power needed to step over the threshold safely into new motherhood.
